Money Management Tools

Personal Banking

While it's always the intent to manage your checking account to maintain a positive balance, there are times when that's not the case. We have some simple solutions that will help cover you in those instances.

Money Manager

Link your checking account with your Univest savings account, money market and/or line of credit so if an overdraft occurs, necessary funds will be automatically drawn to cover the otherwise negative balance.1

1) Primary account holder and SSN must be the same on linked accounts. An $8.00 fee will be assessed for each transfer unless the Credited Account is a personal gold checking account, then the transfer fee is waived. Each transfer from your savings and/or money market account will count towards the maximum number of 6 transfers and withdrawals per month per government requirements. The minimum transfer amount from a linked line of credit is $100.
2) Courtesy overdraft limits are available on new blue and gold checking accounts after 30 days of account opening if the account has remained positive for the full 30 days. When there are insufficient funds in the account, we may, at our discretion, use the courtesy overdraft limit to pay checks, automatic bill payments and recurring debit card transactions. The bank can remove your courtesy overdraft limit at its discretion. If the account has a negative balance after 15 consecutive calendar days, a notification will be sent to you requesting payment and will recommend you contact the bank to discuss and set up a payment plan. If, after 30 consecutive calendar days, your account has not been brought to a positive balance you will be notified that the account will be closed in 10 calendar days.
