David Geibel Appointed President of Girard, a Univest Wealth Division

Girard, the wealth management division of Univest Financial Corporation, with $3.6 billion in assets under management and supervision as of June 30, 2020, recently appointed David Geibel as president. Geibel, previously served as senior vice president and managing director at Girard Advisory Services, LLC, the investment advisory firm within the division. He replaces Kevin Norris, who retired at the end of March.  

Geibel joined Girard Advisory Services, LLC in 2005 as a wealth advisor. He has dedicated his time to serving clients with personalized, comprehensive investment strategies which has driven his thought leadership on client-centric wealth management. Prior to joining the Girard team, Geibel managed client relationships for The Sycamore Group and built institutional investment strategies at BlackRock, Inc.

As president, Geibel plans to continue the client-focused work and growth trajectory built by Norris who founded Girard Advisory Services, LLC in 1995. After Univest Financial Corporation acquired Girard Advisory Services, LLC in 2013, Norris served as president of Univest’s Wealth Management Division.

Geibel earned his bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from Drexel University and is a graduate of the Executive Regional Leadership Forum and Cannon Trust School. Geibel is an avid runner and passionate advocate for people with special needs. He lives in Malvern, Pa. with his wife and three sons.
