Univest National Bank And Trust Co. Introduces Onsite CheckPass™ For Businesses
SOUDERTON, Pa, November 21, 2006 – Univest National Bank and Trust Co. (listed on NASDAQ: UVSP), has launched Onsite CheckPass™, a new check depositing and payment clearing product that enables business customers to easily and securely process check payments from the convenience of their own office.
Onsite CheckPass™ utilizes a desktop scanner attached to a customer’s dedicated PC with Internet access. In the electronic transmittal process, images of the front and back of each check are scanned through a secure connection, automatically recording the check amounts and other deposit information. The benefits to business customers include cost reductions and increased productivity by eliminating the need for employees to visit the bank; and extra quality control through electronic account management to ensure accurate deposits.
“Univest’s Onsite CheckPass™ provides a convenient alternative to business customers who visit the bank frequently to deposit their checks,” said K. Leon Moyer, president and COO of Univest National Bank and Trust Co. “This service enables our customers to reduce time away from the office and ensures deposit accuracy so they can focus their efforts on growing their businesses.”
