Univest Corporation Declares Second Quarter Dividend

 

SOUDERTON, Pa, June 7, 2006 – Univest Corporation (listed on NASDAQ: UVSP), headquartered in Souderton, Pa., will celebrate its 130th anniversary on June 12 with a weeklong celebration including the donation of $130,000 to several local non-profits, a discounted gas sale, community celebration, and customer appreciation day.

Univest will kick-off the anniversary celebration with the Univest Gas Sale on Monday, June 12. Beginning at 11:00 a.m., select service stations will sell regular, unleaded gasoline for $1.30 per gallon to the first 130 customers (15 gallon maximum). The participating stations are:

BP Station, 3611 N. Easton Rd., Doylestown, PA
Exxon Station, 567 Main Street, Collegeville, PA
BP Station, 440 W. Street Rd., Warminster, PA

On Wednesday, June 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Univest invites the community to a 130th Anniversary Community Celebration at the Univest Plaza in Souderton. William S. Aichele, chairman, president and CEO of Univest Corporation, will be joined by his three immediate predecessors for special presentations. The celebration will feature music, entertainment, children’s activities, free food, giveaways, and more. In addition, there will be a ceremony commemorating the anniversary during which representatives of Univest will present local community organizations with donations totaling $130,000.

The final event of the week will be the Univest Customer Appreciation Day to be held Friday, June 16. Visitors to all 34 Univest Financial Service Center locations will receive refreshments and giveaways throughout the day.
