Univest Hosts Central Bucks "Believe in Local" Community Festival
Univest Bank and Trust Co.SM to hold sensitive document shredding, PC recycling and "Believe In Local" expo event at Regional Center in Bucks County
SOUDERTON, Pa., May 7, 2010 – Univest Bank and Trust Co.SM (listed on NASDAQ: UVSP) will hold a sensitive document shredding, PC recycling and "Believe in Local" Expo event on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Univest's Bucks County Regional Center located at 1980 South Easton Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
The public is welcome to bring personal documents for free, secure, on-site shredding by Titan Mobile Shredding, LLC using a truck-mounted shredder. There are a maximum of four boxes of paper per person which can include staples and paper clips. Newspapers, magazines, hard cover books or yellow pages will not be shredded. For electronic equipment, attendees can bring up to two complete computers. CRT and CPU computer monitors, keyboards, mouse, cables, cell phones, fax machines and small desktop printers are accepted. Please no home appliances.
According to Ken Keller, Bucks County market president, "Shredding is a simple, effective way to stop identity fraud, a crime which affects millions of consumers and cost them and businesses billions of dollars annually. When it is time to dispose of such documents - including old tax returns or supporting documents such as pay stubs, receipts, canceled checks, credit card statements and bank statements that have no long term importance, they should be shredded."
In addition to shredding and PC recycling, a "Believe in Local" Expo will take place for community members to enjoy. There will be local vendors such as The Gourmet Vendor offering free hot dogs and beverages, Planet Smoothie providing free smoothie samples and Saxby's providing free coffee! A "Believe in Local" gift pack will be given away at the end of the event, filled with products from local Bucks County businesses.
For the kids, a Playtona Speedway inflatable obstacle course will be available with humps, bumps, and rope ladders, designed for up to three competitors with over 100 feet of fun in two laps! A Games Galore inflatable will also be available for all ages featuring a three-sided 12 foot high entertainment center with eight games - Frisbee toss, bean bag Velcro dart game, sports challenge, football pass, baseball throw, basketball shot, soccer kick and more! The Intelligencer will be a part of our expo along with local nonprofits such as Bucks County Community College, NOVA, BARC, Central Bucks Family YMCA, and more! Volunteers will be available to speak with guests and provide helpful information and giveaways. Visit www.univest.net for more information.
