We don't just sell insurance. We provide peace of mind.

No one ever wants to buy insurance. But everyone wants what insurance represents: the peace of mind that comes from knowing what you value most will be protected in time of trouble, and that if you ever need to make a claim, individuals you know and trust will be doing everything they can to expedite it.

Univest Insurance has been providing Commercial and Personal insurance to our neighbors since 1922, first as George Becker Associates and Gum Insurance Agency, and now as Univest Insurance. In addition, Donald K. Martin & Company, a division of Univest Insurance, specializes in insuring non-profit organizations, religious institutions and senior care facilities and are one of a limited number of premier brokers offering GuideOne Insurance. The most recent addition to the Univest Insurance family is the B.G. Balmer & Company group who provide insurance and risk management services to the Chester County and surrounding region.

Each of our experienced Agents and Customer Service Representatives are part of the fabric of our community.

One source, personalized solutions.

Univest Insurance is an independent insurance agency. Instead of working with one insurance company, we work with many. We're able to compare what each company has to offer to make sure you get the most appropriate coverage at the most competitive price. In other words, we do your comparison shopping for you.

Insuring Where You Live

Homeowners Insurance

Homeowners Insurance protects you if your home or belongings are destroyed or damaged because of fire, robbery or other perils. Depending on the coverage you choose with the help of your Univest agent, your Homeowners policy can pay for repairs to your home, replacement of your belongings and your family's living expenses while you cannot stay in your home. Additional coverage is available for valuables or collectibles, including antiques and jewelry.

If you own a vacation home, Univest can also provide insurance for your second home.

Renters Insurance

If you rent your home or apartment, your landlord is responsible for insuring the building, but your personal property is your responsibility. It's common for renters to own thousands of dollars' worth of personal property. Renters Insurance protects you from loss in case of fire, theft or other perils.

Condominium Insurance

If you own a condominium, your condo association may pay for insurance on the building, but you will need to purchase Condominium Insurance to protect your personal property and any improvements that you make to your unit.

Flood Insurance

If your home is in an area covered by the National Flood Insurance Program -- that is, an area that the government has determined is prone to flooding -- Univest Insurance can help you purchase the flood insurance coverage you need.

Personal Excess Liability and Umbrella Coverages

If you lose a lawsuit over damage or injury caused on your property or by your automobile, your Homeowners or Auto Insurance liability coverage may pay for the judgment. However, if the judgment exceeds your coverage limit, you are personally liable for it. Umbrella and Excess Liability policies provide additional coverages in case the judgment is more than your underlying policy limits. A Univest expert can help you decide if you need this coverage. We work with a number of carriers that provide it.

Insuring What You Drive

Automobile Insurance

Automobile Insurance protects you if your car is in an accident or is otherwise damaged -- for example, if a tree falls on your car in a storm. It covers damages to your vehicle and damages to other vehicles and property if you are at fault. It also provides medical payments coverage to people who are injured. Univest can help you find the most cost-effective coverage for your automobiles, including "gap" insurance for leased vehicles. Our 12-Pay (monthly) installment program makes premiums affordable.

Recreational Vehicles Insurance

Your RV is called a motor home, and it has insurance requirements that are both home and auto. Univest can help you with specialized RV coverage that includes unlimited towing, total loss replacement, full-timer coverage, coverage for attached RV accessories, motor home trailer coverage and much more.

Coverage for Boats/Yachts

If you own a personal watercraft, Univest Insurance can provide complete coverage, including protection from damage to the watercraft itself, including the hull; liability coverage in case your boat is involved in an accident; and medical payments for injuries caused by an accident.

Insurance products offered through Univest Insurance, Inc., a licensed insurance agency affiliate of Univest Corporation, are obligations of and underwritten by unaffiliated insurance companies. Insuring You and Your Loved Ones

Life Insurance

With most families having two breadwinners, life insurance on both spouses is important. But the amount of Life Insurance provided by most employers is not enough coverage to protect your family. Buying a personal Life Insurance policy that is yours even if you change jobs can be the answer.

Life Insurance is what may allow your family to stay in your home even if one of you is gone. Life Insurance can pay the monthly bills and the big expenses, like college or a wedding. And Life Insurance can even be used as a tool to protect the value of your estate after you're gone. A Univest Insurance expert can help you determine how much and what kind of Life Insurance each of you needs to protect your family from financial catastrophe. Get A Life Insurance Quote...

The No Nonsense Life Insurance Company

Health Insurance

If your employer doesn't provide health insurance, if you're between jobs, or if you're your own employer, Univest Insurance can help. We have relationships with a number of insurance companies that sell individual policies and can help you find the combination of benefits and premiums that best suit the needs of you and your family.

Health Savings Accounts

Did you know that a Health Savings Accounts (HSA) can be a great supplemental option for your high-deductible health plan (HDHP)? Learn More...

Disability Insurance

According to the Social Security website, a 20-year-old worker has a 3-in-10 chance of becoming disabled before reaching retirement age. And if you're injured or ill and unable to work for a long period of time, Disability Insurance provides a steady monthly income. You may even qualify for Social Security disability benefits, but they will not replace your regular income in full. Also, it's important to know that you are eligible for Social Security disability benefits only if you are totally disabled and unable to work at any job, not just the job you originally had.

Owning your own Disability Insurance policy is a good way to make sure you will have adequate income. Unlike Social Security, private disability insurance can cover partial disabilities, and the requirements are usually more flexible than the government program. A Univest insurance expert can help you sort through your options and purchase the policy that makes sense for you and your family.

Long-Term Care Insurance

The average cost of nursing home care is now over $66,000 a year.* If you or your spouse were injured or ill and needed this kind of care, how long would your savings last? If your answer is, "Not long enough," you may want to consider Long-Term Care Insurance, which can pay for the care for you or your spouse, either in a nursing home or at home.

A Univest Long-Term Care expert can help you find a policy that provides the coverage you need -- including all-important inflation protection -- at premiums you can afford.

*The $66K comes from a survey published by MetLife.
