A personal umbrella policy provides an additional layer of
liability that sits above your existing homeowners and personal
auto liability limits. Umbrella limits are purchased in million
dollar layers providing you with greater protection against high
value judgments for which you are legally liable. Umbrella policies
are relatively inexpensive with premiums usually about several
hundred dollars for the first $1,000,000 and each additional
$1,000,000 layer being progressively cheaper than the first and
subsequent layers.
