SOUDERTON, Pa., January 6, 2012 - Univest Bank
and Trust Co.SM (NASDAQ:

announced the launch of its Anytime Voice ID service.
This free service provides added
security to Univest customers calling the bank for assistance as
Univest can now identify a customer by simply using the customer's
voice. The Univest Anytime Voice ID is not a voice recording - it
is a mathematical model of a person's voice that is encrypted and
unable to be used in any other way by another system or person.
When a customer enrolls in this service, their identity is verified
thereafter with a much higher degree of certainty than other
methods of identification.
In addition to heightening
security, this new service also brings added convenience. For
enrolled customers, they receive immediate assistance from a
Univest Service Center representative without being required to
provide additional information to verify their identity.
