For 138 years, Univest Corporation has differentiated itself by making it a priority to give back to the communities it serves. Committed to Local is Univest's philanthropic giving program and our way of answering the community's call for increased support right here in the neighborhoods in which we live, work and play. Once each quarter, we like to turn the tables and use our Facebook page to ask YOU, our customers and community members, which local nonprofit deserves our financial assistance. For our first Caring for Community Giveaway of 2014, we want to know which local, nonprofit social service organization should receive additional support. Qualified nonprofit organizations may offer programs that feed those in need, deliver education or enrichment programs, offer job training, provide housing assistance, or advocate for children, disabled or elderly members of the community.
Here's how it works:
- Identify a local, social service organization that deserves the $1,000 donation.
- Nominate the group by posting a comment on the Univest Facebook page, www.facebook.com/UnivestCorporation. One vote per person, per day.
- The nonprofit organization with the most posts at the end of the contest will be the winner.
The contest launches on Mach 3, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. and will run through March 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. To be eligible to win the $1,000, the nonprofit group must be a registered 501 (c) (3) organization that aligns with the Univest giving guidelines and operates somewhere in the Univest service area of Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and the Lehigh Valley.
Univest Corporation’s Caring for Community Giveaway is open to all legal residents of the United States. Participants may post to the Univest Facebook page the organization they support once per day. The winner will be determined by the most posts, and the organization must also meet Univest Corporation’s grant giving standards and contest rules. The winning organization cannot be a previous Univest Corporation Committed to Local contest winner. We request only one organization name per post. The winning organization will be contacted via phone or email. The contest runs from Monday, March 3, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. through Friday, March 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. In the event a winning organization cannot be reached and/or does not respond by 5:00 p.m. March 28, 2014, they forfeit the grant to the next organization with the most posts. Univest Corporation is not responsible for the organization’s availability or non-response. Univest Corporation reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the contest at any time. The Caring for Community Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. For more on Univest Corporation’s giving guidelines, please visit www.univest.net/CTL.
